PAHrtners Deaf Services is now accepting applications for the Direct Support Professional position at our Glenside location. This role was formerly called Residential Support Coach (RSC). Various shifts available (full-time, part-time or flex).
Description:
This position provides direct services to adults with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs living in our residences. Responsibilities include: assisting with daily living skills instruction and training; aiding in community integration; transportation; medication administration and observation; writing progress notes. All shifts are available (day, evening, overnight and weekend).
Qualifications:
HS diploma; valid driver’s license; fluency in ASL or strong willingness to learn; demonstrated competency in independent living skills; ability to teach, advise and motivate Deaf consumers; strong interpersonal skills. Certified as a Peer Specialist, a plus!
