We are accepting applications for the Assistant Program Director of Residential Services. This position is full time.

This role provides guidance, leadership and support to front line staff as well as direct support to Deaf individuals with behavioral health needs and/or intellectual disabilities living within a residential setting.  Those we serve use sign language as their primary mode of communication. This position provides 24-hour rotating on-call support, including some weekends/holidays, covers shifts, joins team meetings and completes required documentation.


  • Work with the director to coordinate and supervise daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Fulfill duties as assigned by the director
  • Hire, train and evaluate direct support coaches

Minimum Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent plus with one year of work experience as a Residential Support Coach; OR two years of experience in the human services field working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders; valid driver’s license; fluency in sign language; supervisory experience a plus; be able to teach, advise and motivate staff; strong interpersonal skills.

    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Proficient in MS Office, relational databases and software (e.g. ERP)
    • Aptitude in problem-solving
    • American Sign Language (ASL)
