PAHrtners Deaf Services is currently seeking a qualified an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Administrator that is fluent in sign language. This leadership position manages and directs the operations of a single business location ensuring sustained high quality of care and services to persons that are deaf/hard of hearing and may have additional disabilities. This individual leads and directs the administrative, clinical, financial, and employee relation functions and implements and enforces compliance with company, state and federal policy. The Administrator for PAHrtners must be fluent in American Sign Language.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and directs the unit operations needed to sustain high-quality care and services to persons with disabilities.
  • Set objectives, monitor performance, and provide direction and leadership to their unit. This includes management and oversight over the administrative, clinical, financial, and employee relations functions.
  • Coordinates and directs the activities of the Quality Management Team to ensure the highest level of quality supports and outcomes are available to each person supported
  • Enforces and monitors implementation of Personal Outcome Measures to ensure persons supported receive maximum growth and benefit from program design
  • Ensures adequate clinical supervision/oversight by clinical team members
  • Ensures implementation of the Unit Quality Improvement Plan
  • Ensures implementation of Staff Training Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensures/monitors the unit Quality Assurance system.
  • Monitors and participates in completion of chart reviews to ensure assigned reviews are accomplished according to company policy.
  • Remains current on all applicable regulatory standards
  • Implements all available actions to avoid condition/fast track survey or audit citations from state inspection, survey teams, and LME monitoring.
  • Assures implementation of a timely and thorough plan of correction for quality assurance audits, life safety surveys, licensure and certification surveys, and LME monitoring. Actively participates in ensuring correction of all deficiencies in audits and surveys. Ensures that corporate office receives copies of all surveys with the plan of corrections.
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, conferences, and regulatory forums.
  • Implements and enforces compliance with company, state, and federal policy.
  • Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment to provide quality services to the people supported.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position supervises Home Managers, QMRPs, QDDPs, Program Managers, Training Coordinators, Vocational Coordinators, Business Managers, Nurses, Psychologist/Behavior Analyst, Dietician, and other operational roles.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field, healthcare management or general business/public administration.
  • Prefer five years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities, two of which shall have been supervisory in nature.
  • Fluent in American Sign Language is required.

SALARY:

$70-85k/year depending on experience and education.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to regularly stand and walk.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
